Weighing will take place on Tuesday the 15th of September 2026, see the program for times and location.
Take your accreditation, ID or passport and individual weigh-in card to the Weigh-in. Make sure your ID or passport number is the same as the one mentioned on the accreditation. Take the correct individual weigh-in card, the one that was handed to you or your team manager at the office. These are preprinted with your name, accreditation number etc. The category(ies) mentioned on it is(are) the one(s) that you are allowed to pull in.
Required dress code for weigh-in:
Men-teams may weigh-in in proper sized non-transparent shorts only.
Women-teams may weigh-in in proper sized non-transparent shorts and shirts or sports-top only.
No attempt should be made to weigh-in dressed only in underwear.
It is not allowed to change in the weigh-in room, so make sure you were the proper dress when entering the weigh-in room.
Please bring your tug of war boots to weigh-in so they can be checked and tagged.
Anchorpersons should bring their anchor vest to the weigh-in for a check.
Before entering the weigh-in room your ID or passport and accreditation will be checked.
At the table with the scale the officials only need your accreditation and weigh-in card.
Your weight will be put on the weigh-in certificate, one of the officials and you will sign both copies. One copy will be for you. This copy you can hand over to your coach or team manager to let her/him know your weight. After that put the weigh-in card behind your accreditation, text forward.
The team manager will fill in (block letters) the details requested on the preprinted, colored team weigh-in form which he/she also got at the office and hand the certificate to the controller, designated official or at the championships office. Please list the weights of the eight pullers, AS MENTIONED ON THE INDIVIDUAL WEIGHING CARD, as well as the name and accreditation number of the coach and team attendant. The total weight of the team must not exceed the total weight for the particular weight class that your team has entered.
Times when the team weigh-in form has to be handed in (hand in at weigh-in or after weigh-in at the office or designated TWIF official or during competition at control):
- For teams participating on Wednesday: PREFARABLY DURING THE MORNING OR AFTERNOON WEIGH-IN BUT NO LATER THAN 17:00 in the evening, directly after the briefing. After weigh-in the forms can be handed in at the Championships Office.
- For teams participating on Thursday: BEFORE 15.00 PM ON WEDNESDAY at the control;
- For the national teams participating on Friday: BEFORE 15.00 PM ON THURSDAY at the control.
- For the national teams participating on Saturday: BEFORE 15.00 PM ON FRIDAY at the control.
Of course handing in the forms earlier is always preferable.
